silverfucked @ 04:58 pm: A LOT of sexy news, sorry if this clogs up your friends page!
Ok, where to start?
Firstly, the single Kittens Got Claws is now available to purchase through Smalltown America's website (For those who haven't bought one at a show). £4.30 including VAT and Postage, get in.
There's only a few just now before the single get's it's proper release so get it quick, (And buy something else, just for fun).

Before we even get over that awesome news, we're hit with yet more fantastic news regarding the second single. Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courtney Cox Arquette has an early January release date sketched in. 09/01/2006 to be precise. Want to see the artwork? Yeah you do.
Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courteney Cox Arquette

Yeah you love it.

1. Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courteney Cox Arquette
2. Bathdrinker
3. Whose Ends

The album, Bucko has re-scheduled it's delivery of birth for 13/02/2006. Overdue baby's are the best.
And I've decided to truncate this update as it'll annoy with it's length if i go on much further, but you can go to here if you want to read about the making of the video of the January single.
And if you go to the main page on Smalltown America you'll discover some brilliant news regarding Public Service Broadcast #7.

Oh and check out http://www.ficklepublic.com and the blog on http://www.myspace.com/ficklepublic for other little delicacies regarding the public.

That's all.

silverfucked @ 04:31 pm: Smalltown America report on Fickle Public..
Fickle Public at In The City - Bruce Dickinson Interested

Al Fickle Public At T In The Park (tell us this photographer credit please...)Fickle Public descend on an unsuspecting Manchester this weekend to dish out some more rock action at In The City 2005. The band will perform as part of the Glasswerk Fringe Festival on Sunday October 2nd at The Dry Bar. Glasswerk's fantastically ambitious project involves seventy five bands performing on two stages over four days. On Fickle's night they will be playing with Young Offenders Institute, The Deadbeats and White Rose Movement among many others.

Headliners at the event include,  Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster (Friday), Misty's Big Adventure (Saturday) Mark Morriss (Monday). Doors are at 2pm each day, entry is £5.00 in advance per day and limited tickets are available from the outlets listed below. We're advised that tickets for the Friday evening are in very short supply. Our thanks are extended to the Glasswerk team for their continued STA support.

In other Fickle Public news, the foursome are continuing to win fans and influence people with their debut single (new release date on that by the way 24th October). 'Kittens Got Claws' has picked up plays on Rob Da Bank's Radio One Show (22.09.05) and Bruce Dickinson's Rock Show on 6Music (24.09.05). Bring your daughter to the slaughter... The track has also been added to the Music Choice 'Harder Than Hell' playlist this week along with
Audioslave's new single 'Doesn't Remind Me'. Music Choice is available on Sky Digital (Channels 498 and 499)

silverfucked @ 01:11 am: Single news, tour dates and video..

From Smalltown America:

"Fickle's Kitten Is Of A Dangerous Breed

Glasgow/Elgin quartet Fickle Public release their STA debut 'Kittens Got Claws' on October 17th, 2005. To these ears this is a classic punk single and it's an honour to have it bring up the catalogue's quarter century. Biased? Of course we are! It's 120 seconds of lethal, math-jazz, pop-rock recalling Les Savy Fav, Faraquet and Q And Not U in a single breath. Surely this is a world record?

Sleeve illustration on this release is by Christopher Rainbow, a beautiful hand-lettered piece in mixed media. Design is by Helen Turner. Our thanks are extended to them both.

We've allocated 25 advance copies to the store so our keenest shoppers can get there first. 'Kittens' is backed with 3 new recordings: 'Slavers', 'Eh' and 'E Squared'.

Tour Dates
Sep 08 - Edinburgh Subway
Sep 14 - Glasgow QMU (Supporting Biffy Clyro)
Sep 17 - London 17
Sep 19 - Glasgow Barfly
Oct 01 - Sheffield Casbah
Oct 02 - Manchester The Dry Bar (In The City)
Nov 17 - Belfast Limelights"

Also, check out the video for 'Kittens' over at the MySpace site
In other cool news, the single was played on Zane Lowe on Tuesday.. It's all very exciting..
